W.A.P.E.T.
West Australian Petroleum Proprietary, Ltd, and Mesa Australia, Ltd, have signed a joint-venture agreement for petroleum exploration in the onshore Perth Basin. Mesa Australia is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mesa Petroleum Company, Texas. It recently discovered. and planned the development of the Beatrice Field in the North Sea. Drilling of a 3500 m well is planned to begin in January 1980.
