NZPA Melbourne The Nfew Zealander Bell Flight slashed 5.1 s off the course Record in winning the $12,000“ Moonee Valley Steeply (3600 m by five lengths from another New Zealander, Somoy, at Mooiiee Valley on Saturday. Well ridden by Nick Harnett aged 19. Bell Flight led all the way to win in 4 min 19.45, bettering the record set by So And So in the same race last year. < Somoy, which was well back during the middle stages, finished strongly and was eight lengths clear of Viv’s Choice, a former New Zealander.
