Marlborough, Nelson: Moderate easterly winds but southerlies freshening about the Marlborough coast; cloud thickening and areas of rain developing during the day; cool. Buller. Westland: Moderate easterly winds about Buller with increasing cloud and scattered rain developing: elsewhere fine and cool with light winds. Outlook: Some showers in ; all districts.
