Rangiora District Council rates
Sir, — As a ratepayer of the Rangiora District Council I am alarmed about the apparent lack of concern shown by the ratepayers over the proposed 23 per cent rise in rural rates. This rise will increase by hundreds of dollars the rates on a lot of our small farms and make them more uneconomic and I urge al! rural ratepayers to resist this savage rise . and call on the council to stop handing out large sums of money to regional planning and the museum, etc., and to use this money to improve our county. — Your.etc., N.
