NOTICE is hcrebx given that the Selwyn Pest Destruction Board has by resolution dated June 11. 1979, classified all land in its district for the purpose of levying a rate on a graduated scale for the period commencing April 1. 1979. and ending on March 31. 1980. A list setting forth such classification maj be inspected without tee at the offices of the Board. Lawrence. Godfrey and Co.. 208 Oxford Terrace. Christchurch, between the hours of 9 a.m. and S p.m. week days, and such list will be open for inspection from 9 a.m. on Monday, June 18. to 5 pin., on Monday, July 16. 1979. Notice of proportion of rate proposed by the Selwyn Pest Destruction Board to be appointed in respect of the respective classes of land in its district is as set out hereunder being public notice pursuant to Section 72 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967. and Sections 52 and 71 of the Rating Act 1967. Notice is hereby given that the Selwyn Pest Destruction Board intends at a meeting of the Board, to be held at Darfield at 2 p.m., on Monday. July 30 ior at such other place or date as the said Board shall meet), to make and levy a rate on the land in its district for the period commencing April 1. 1979, and ending on March 31, 1980, in respect of the following classes of land: 1.41 c per Ha in respect of land in Class 1 of its classification rate. 3.74 c per Ila in respect of land in Class 2 of its classification rate. 8.97 c per Ila in respect of land in Class 3 of its classification rate. 13.25 c per Ha in respect of land in Class 4 of its classification rate. 14.10 c per Ila in respect of land in Class 5 of its classification rate. 19.75 c per Ha in respect of land in Class 6 of its classification rate. 22.58 c per Ila in respect of land in Class 7 of its classification rate.

And that these classifications and proposed rates apply to the Wards as follows:— Upper Rakaia Ward — Classes 1. 4. 5. 6, 7. Lower Rakaia Ward — Classes 3,5, 7. Tawera Ward — Classes 1,2, 5, 7. And notice is hereby further given that the said rates will become payable at the office of the Board on August 22. 1979. and that the rate book is open for inspection without fee by Ratepayers between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. An additional charge of 10 per cent will be added to all rates unpaid at the expiration of six months from the date of demand and shall be payable and recoverable accordingly.
