Eric Briggs makes his final preparations for his professional middle-weight bout of 10 rounds against the former South Pacific Games gold medal winner, Philip Kating, of the New Hebrides, in the Caledonian Hall, Christchurch, on Sunday. Briggs was undefeated in Canterbury last season. Kating is the first boxer from the New Hebrides to fight professionally.
