A shallow trough of low pressure to the north-east of the North Island is moving away to the east. An anticyclone to the east of southern | New Zealand extends a ridge over the South Island into the central Tasman Sea. A cold front lying near Tas-) mania is moving south-east. ] Forecast:

Marlborough, Nelson: Light winds in Nelson and inland Marlborough, moderate south-easterlies about the outer Sounds; fine apart from morning low cloud or fog; rising day temperatures.
