Milk payment rises
PA Wellington The Dairy Products Prices Authority has increased the milk fat value for the 1979-80 season by 10 per cent, and has made no change in the solid»-not-fat value, the acting chairman of the Dairy Board (Mr K. F. Mehrtens) has said.
The,, decision raises the whole milk value at the farm, on which the Dairy Board bases the product purchase prices paid to dairy companies, to 176.91 c per kg of milk fat. an increase of 6.75 per egnt on the 1978-79 value. The new season began on June 1.
