Boat burns, sinks
A 15m fishing boat burned and sank in Halls Arm. Doubtful Sound, yesterday after an explosion on board.
Two crewmen. Messrs T. Willets, and A. Mclvor, escaped injury and were flown back to Te Anau. The boat was still afloat after the fire was put out but if sank soon afterwards, before another boat could get to the area to tow it on to the beach.
