PA Wellington i A programme by a major I New Zealand company,! Challenge Corporation, Ltd, to reduce by 20 per cent its usage of imported liquid fuels has been welcomed by the acting Minister of Energy, (Mr Templeton). “The company has set itself the major task of saving one in every five litres of fuel — chiefly oil and petrol — which it currently uses,” he said.

I “It should not be overi looked that, on current esti- . mates, New Zealand’s 1979 • bill for imported fuels will i be more than 20 per cent i higher than that for 1978, , and this serves to emphasise i the vital necessity for everyI one to get involved in coni serving fuel imports,” Mr Templeton said.
