PA Wellington There was a marked rise in the numbers -of companies ordered to wind up in April, reports the commercial affairs division of the Justice Department. A total of 28 companies was ordered to wind up by the court, and 35 did so voluntarily, compared with 9 and 34 respectively in April, 1978. A total of 398 new companies, including three overseas companies, were registered during April, 1979. For April, 1978, the figures were 436 and six respectively. Receivers were appointed to 20 companies while 12 ceased to act during April, 1979. For April, 1978, the figures were 33 and 14 respectively.
