Soccer results
The previously unbeaten North Beach A team suffered its first . loss in the Umbro International Sunday soccer league competition yesterday. After scoring twice in the first 20 minutes, North Beach was beaten, 3-2, by D. B. Gladstone. All the goals came in the first half. Avonhead A is now one point clear at the top of the points table. Four players were cautioned in a third-di-■vision match between Kenco and Grosvenor.
Results.— First division: Provincial 3, Condor 2; Forresters 1, Pharoahs 0; Avonhead A I, Mastaguard 0; Gladstone 3, North Beach A 2. Second division: Smiths 2, Conley and Blyth 0; Woolston Foundry 2, Fire Brigade 0; Sunnyside 3, Avonhead B 0; North Beach B 3, Music Machine 2. Third division: Kenco 6, Grosvenor 0; Ham 4, Air New Zealand 1; Ashburton A 3, C.S.B. I.
