Dramatic rally end
PA Wellington Motorsport stewards last night drastically changed the provisional results of the first round of the naional motor rally championship in the Wellington district.
Provisional results declared Wellington’s Mark Jennings the winner, with
Tony Street (Lower Hutt) second and Tony Teesdale (Tokoroa) third—all in Ford Escorts.
The new results gave the rally win to Auckland’s Howard Collier (Ford Escort) ahead of Auckland’s John Woolf (Mazda) and Masterton’s Hugh Armstrong (Ford Escort).
