Top men to guide hospital
Several prominent Christchurch specialists have been appointed to a new committee that will guide the affairs of the Southern Cross Trust Hospital. Southern Cross will assume control of Calvary Hospital on June 1. The chairman of the com!mittee will be Mr N. F. Greenslade. a Christchurch surgeon, who is also chairman of the Medical Council. Other Christchurch representatives will be Messrs K. Drayton and J. M, Bremner, both surgeons, and Dr J. Kennedy, a radiologist. The committee will also include a trustee of the Southern Cross Hospital Trust, and Mr P. A. Smith, the trust’s chief executive. Mr Smith, who announced the formation of the committee, said that the trust was fortunate to have men of such distinction and experience as the Christchurch specialists to help direct the hospital’s future.
