Yachting confusion
PA Auckland There was confusion over the Auckland to Tonga ocean yacht race when no reports were received by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron last evening. No reports had been received from boats still racing since Saturday evening and finishing times for several boats had not been relayed to Auckland either. The veteran ocean racer
Fidelis took line honours early on Saturday morning, and Charlemagne and Jipcho have provisionally shared the handicap honours in the division one field. However, it is the position of two division two craft Demijohn and Delphin that holds the fate of the event. The pair, only a few miles apart when they last reported on Saturday night, are fighting for the over-all handicap honours.
