Arrest after collision
A man was arrested after an alleged hit-and-run accident at the junction of Lincoln Road and Hoon Hay Road last evening. two cars were extensively damaged in the collision, which occurred about 7.30 p.m., and one failed to stop, according to the police. The car was stopped in Moorhouse Avenue soon afterwards by a Ministry of Transport patrol car. Its driver was later taken to the Christchurch Central Police Station. He will appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning.
Nobody was injured in the accident.
