Boxing at Greymouth
GREYMOUTH REPORTER The promising Greymouth middle-weight boxer, Gavin Forsyth, gained a point win over the ranking Barry's Gym (Christchurch) boxer, Nicky Swalger, in a- Greymouth Boxing Association tournament in the Civic Theatre on Saturday. In a Light-weight bout, Alan McNamara (Nelson), the present champion, beat Ashley Snow (Barry’s Gym) on points. Supporting bouts resulted: J. Rickaby (Bell’s Gym, Christ-; church; beat P. Negri (Grey-i mouth,-. D. Hazeldine (Barry’s) 1 beat VV. Gillespie (Nelson). J.j Howe (Greymouth) heat T. Bell (Bell’s), J. McKeown (Nelson) beat A. Gallop (Barry’s), W. Toomalatial (Barry’s) beat D. Fahey: G. Bell (Bell’s) beat G. Campbell (Greymouth), J. Bell (Bell’s) beat R. Campbell ‘Greymouth). P. Graham (Barry’s) beat B. Boyd (Nelson). M. Keenan (Barry’s) beat D. Fahey (Barry's).
