Police drop injury inquiries
Detectives no longer seek any other person in connection with the finding of an injured man in Rolleston Avenue early on Wednesday. The man, Nicholas Matson. aged 25, was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital with knife wounds to the chest and wrists, and head injuries. He was discharged yesterday. Mr Matson had told detectives that he had been attacked when he tried to help a man who was being assaulted by a group of youths, the police said on Wednesday.
• Inquiries had establishes that there were no suspicious circumstances, a t-I-B. spokesman said.
