Troops, tanks in
NZPA-Reuter Beirut About 200 Israeli troops backed by 30 tanks occupied a south Lebanon village yesterday, Western military sources in Beirut have reported. They said the Israeli force had moved into Shaqra, a small settlement in an area controlled by Irish troops attached to a United Nations peacekeeping force.
The incursion came after reports by residents of northern Israel that Palestinian guerrillas had fired rockets from across the Lebanese border at an Israeli settlement before dawn. United Nations sources confirmed that Shaqra, Bkm west of the Israeli border, had been occupied by Israeli forces.
