Evaluation seminar
The Canterbury Region Urban Development Association will run a one-day seminar on May 19 to evaluate the effects Of the amended Local Government Act and Town and Country Planning Act. Discussion will be specially related to the Canterbury area. Speakers will be the Minister of Works and Development (Mr W. L. Young), Sir Frank Holmes (New Zealand Planning Council), Professor R. Lister (geography department, Univesrity of Otago), Mr A. Town (Director of Planning, Ministry of Works), and Mr J. Holdaway (Auckland Regional Authority).
A panel of mayors, county chairmen and local body representatives will answer questions.
