Rod Stewart weds American model
JJZPA-Reuter Beverley Hills (California) The British rock star. Rod Stewart, who as a bachelor made headlines with his romances, has married an American former model, Alana Hamilton, in a brief civil cere nony at the home of Frank Sinatra’s daughter. Stewar. who is 34, and his 33-year-old bride were both in white for the wedding witnessed by Tina Sinatra, he' boyfriend, and the rock stat’s manager, Billy Gaff. But thev will not be having a 1 rmal honeymoon. Stewart sets out on an extensive tour this week, starting in Edmonton, Canada, on Wednesday night. Hemingway, and the movie actors, David Janssen and Tony Curtis, followed a year-long romance. It was Stewart’s first marriage. His bride is the former wife- of a minor actor, George Hamilton. Stewart’s live-in relationship with Britt Ekland resulted in a S2OM lawsuit by the actress in 1977 when they split up. Miss Ekland claimed she helped promote Stewart’s career while sacrificing her own. They later settled out of court for a sum rumoured to be about SIM. Stewart’s career has rocketed in the last two years with three best-selling albums. But his biggest success occurred this year with the song “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” a disco-flavoured song that has become Stewart’s best-selling single.
