New board for trial
PA Wellington N.Z. Forest Products will start trials in May or June on the production for export of special board for packaging drinks such as milk, ' according to the Under-Secretary of Agriculture (Mr Talbot). The successful marketing of the board overseas would be the key to producing milk in cartons at home, Mr Talbot said. Forest Products was confident of success and was thinking of producing 15,000 tonnes a year, he said. The company was looking to markets in Australia and further afield. The successful marketing of the board would provide the base for more attractive packaging for fruit juices and milk on the home market, Mr Talbot said.
