Moto -cross delayed
The final meeting of the South Island gold star m o t o r-cycle moto-cross championships, which was to have been held at the international Ogg’s Farm circuit on Sunday, has been postponed for a week. “The car parking area is covered with water,” an official of the New Brighton club. Mr Bill Campbell, explained yesterday. The meeting has now been
transferred to Woodford Glen on April 8. Mr Campbell has been reappointed selector of the South Island Moto-cross team for an eighth term. The team will be announced on September 23 and the annual inter-island contest will be held near Dunedin on October 21. A former New Zealand champion, Mr Bill Wetzel, of Wellington, has been appointed North Island selector.
