National voice
Wellington reporter After years of argument and acrimony, the Acclimatisation Society movement has a national body. The different societies up and down New Zealand had sought many times to reorganise themselves. Now a new national executive has been establisehd by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Highet). It consists of the presidents of the North Island and South Island councils of the societies, plus three members from each council. This will give the societies I a national voice, something i they have conspicuously 1 lacked during discussions on matters of importance to all (societies.
