C.P.D. bid succeeds
The Cable Price Downer, Ltd, offer for Amalgamated Batteries, Ltd, has been declared unconditional. A substantial majority of Amalgamated Batteries shareholders had accepted the offer, and C.P.D. expected to reach 90 per cent before it closed yesterday.
