Costanzo takes lead
NZPA Adelaide Italian-born Alf Costanzo took a runaway lead in the Rothmans international motor race series with another easy win in the second round at Adelaide yesterday. Costanzo, in a Lola T-430, i carved out a 36-second marlgin over the second placebetter, John Walker, driving a Lola T-332. with the Australian international Larry | Perkins third.
The leading New Zealand driver, Graham Mcßae (Mcßae GM-3) drove a
patient race in temperatures of more than 40 degrees to finish fourth, two laps down on Costanzo. Another Kiwi, Jim Richards, better known as a saloon car driver, again scored points in his Matich formula 5000, by finishing tenth,
