Warm greetings from Big Daddy
PA Auckland You can relax, folks. Uganda’s “Big Daddy,” President Idi Amin, likes' us and has sent a telegram to the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) to prove the point. The three-page Christmas message was received by Mr Muldoon at New Year and was released for publication “without comment” by Mr Muldoon yesterday. The text says: “Your Excellency — on this Christmas Day I convey to you personally and through you to the entire people of your great country warmest greetings and best wishes from myself, my family, the government, 1 and all Ugandans. We pray to I Almighty God that this historic occasion be celebrated in a spirit of love, peace, dignity and respect for mankind. “I sincerely wish your Excellency good health, happiness as well as fresh successes in your great work for the progress and prosperity of your people on this occasion for many more years to come. Accept the assurances of my highest consideration and esteem. — Alhajji Field Marshal Dr Idi Amin Dada, V.C., D. 5.0., M.C., 0.8. E., life President of
