Public Notices CHRISTCHURCH TRANSPORT BOARD RESOLUTION MAKING NEW FARE ORDER PURSUANT to Section 145 and 146 of the Transport Act 1962, the Christchurch Transport Board (being a Public Body within the meaning of the said Act) HEREBY makes a Fare Order cancelling its present scale of charges and fixing a new scale in accordance with the attached Schedule, to take effect from the eighth dav of January, 1979. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE OF TICKETS All tickets are sold subject to the Christchurch Transport Board’s By-Laws, which may be inspected at the Board’s Office. CASH FARES (i) Tickets must be produced for inspection on demand. (ii) Children’s cash fares are 50% of Adult cash fares, rounded up to the nearest cent and are available to persons who have not yet attained the age of 15 years and to school pupils in full school uniform irrespective of age. They are also available to the holders of Beneficiaries’ Concession permits between the hours of 9 ajn. and 4 p.m., and after 6 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive, and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. (iii) Children under the age of 5 years are entitled to travel free of charge. CONCESSION CARDS (i) Must be produced for inspection on demand. (ii) 10-Ride Adult Trip Cards, 20-Ride Adult Trip Cards and 40-Ride School Pupil Cards have no restrictions on time of useage or period of validity. (iii) School Pupil cards are issued on presentation of an application, submitted annually, and signed by the Principal of a Primary or Secondary School. Applications forms are available from the Ticket Office, Cathedral Square. Availability and Conditions of Issue: (a) To persons under 21 years of age attending full time at primary or secondary school. (b) Mutilated Cards are not acceptable. (c) On timetable trips unless otherwise directed. (d) School pupil card holders must not occupy seats if adults are standing. (e) School pupil cards are not transferable. (iv) Refunds for rides missed through incorrect punching may be obtained at Ticket Office, Cathedral Square. (v) No refunds will be made for unused rides. (vi) Adult Concession Cards can only be used for Children’s fares at ordinary adult rates. (vii) 10 or 20 Ride adult concession cards are transferable. (viii) Concession cards sold by the Board or its agents are not available on Special, Charter or Contract services. 7988
