SKELLERUP RISES DESPITE RESULT
Although rises outnumbered falls by more than two to one, share prices were mixed in active trading yesterday. The N.Z.U.C. index advanced a marginal 0.31 points to 320.45, and market leaders were prominent in the falls. Brewery shares were easier, and Capital Radio and WaitakiN.Z.R. continued to fall. Haywrights rose 2c to 72c after announcing it had sold two of its major Auckland suburban stores, and Skellerup rose 5c to 240 c despite reporting a lower profit in its latest half-year.
