“Holmwood” help
Sir, — The local management committee of Holmwood the community for the aged to be built in King Street, Rangiora, and the Christchurch Presbyterian Social Service Association (Inc) wish to place on record their sincere appreciation for the support this project has received from the people of Rangiora and surrounding districts. We are very grateful that the furnishing of this complex has been made the official project to mark the centenary of the borough of Rangiora. The sum raised, which has now reached $43,000, is a magnificent effort. Our special thanks are extended to Cr Chris Hayward and his Queen Carnival Steering Committee and to the four princesses and their committees who worked so hard for more than three months to raise a sum that far exceeded all expectations. All concerned will be pleased to learn that building operations will begin early in 1979. — Yours, etc., I. W. JONSTON, Publicity Officer for Holmwood.
M. R. McGREGOR, Superintendent, church P.S.S.A. December 15, 1978.
