It’s an ill wind . . .
The trombone is not one of the stars amongst musical instruments and music written specially for solo trombone must be rarely heard. However, the New Zealand composer. Lyall Cresswell, has given this neglected member of the brass famify attention; and this composer’s Drones IV for solo trombone can be heard on tonight’s Concert radio programme from the trombonist, James Fulkerson.
