Youth conference
T h i r t y-three secondary school pupils from throughout New Zealand have been chosen to attend the first youth environment conference in Auckland, beginning on Monday.
The pupils, who were selected from 100 applicants will make submissions at the conference on their own environment areas.
They will also have the opportunity to view urban environment problems, and solutions, in the Auckland area.
Eight pupils were selected from Canterbury. They are Philip Morreau (St Andrew’s College), Julie Rossiter (Riccarton High School), Ann Bermingham (Mairehau High School), Beverley Wilding
(Kaiapoi High School), JoAnne Gray (Hillmorton High School), Sonja Stove (Sacred Heart), Kristen Harvey (St Margaret’s College), and Pamela Robinson (Ashburton College).
