TV golf coverage
Sir, — I would like to thank TVI for bringing to the public such an excellent coverage of the third round of the golf yesterday. However, I had to smile when John Neilson on closing the “Sport on One” programme, announced that one could see the final round the next day on SPTV. Pray tell me how one is to see the final round when our area has only one channel. I think the television authorities should consider the thousands pf subscribers (who pay the same licence fee) wno would like to see the final round, but are unable to. The natural solution would be to have all rounds on TVI when ail subscribers could enjoy the excitement instead of just a . selected few. — Yours, etc., MONICA MCDONALD. GREYMOUTH, DECEMBER 3, 1978.
