NZPA Melbourne : The United States women's tennis team won the sixteenth Federation Cup when it edged out Australia, 2-1, with a nail'biting win in the final match, I the doubles, last night ' Chris Even and Billie Jean (King sealed the cup for the United States when thev beat Wendy Turnbull and Kerry Reid 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, at Koovong.
