November was hot and dry
Noveffiber was drier and sunnier than usual. November 28, with a maximum temperature of 31.1 degrees, was the second iffttest November day recorded, according to the Meteorological Office at Christchurch Airport. A Amperature of 32.2 degrees was recorded in November, 1923. Although temperatures were about normal for November, the 223 hours of sunshine were 25 hours above -the average.
