Iran pulls out
NZPA-Reuter Bangkok Iran has withdrawn from the Asian Games, which will start in Bangkok next Saturday, according to secretary-general of the organising committee, Somjit Singahaseni. He said he had received a cable from the Iran Olympic Committee notifying him of the withdrawal. No reason had been given.
