The painting work is mainlv industrial involving painting of indoor and outdoor equipment. There is also a limited amount of decorative work on the village houses and buildings. A remote allowance is payable and two hours travelling time is paid for the daily launch trip across Lake Mana pouri. Accommodation is available for married and single persons at reasonable rentals The singlemen's hostel is located at West Arm.
