To assist dog owners in the Christchurch area i to fulfil this requirement over the Christmas holii day period the Council’s Hydatids Control Officers [ will provide a treatment service on December 15. ; 18, 19, 20 and 21. Owners are advised that as only a limited number of dogs can be treated each day early appointments for treatment are necessary and owners wishing to avail themselves of the service should telephone 791-660 ext. 836 not later than 48 hours prior to the desired day of treatment. A certificate of treatment which must accompany the dog when it enters a rural district will be issued by the officer. J. H. The subsidy is payable on the preparation of the ground, the cost of trees and the planting of trees and protective fencing from stock. The rate of subsidy U 2:1, subject to agreement that special cial cultivation and management.practices will be carried out.
