Heathcote ' junk day’
Saturday, December 9, will be “junk day” in Heathcote County. Four Heathcote County Council trucks will roam the county picking up junk put out by residents. The junk day is one of many such days organised periodically by the council.
Although most junk would be collected, there were several stipulations, said the County Clerk (Mr K. D. Stills). Junk must be put out for collection before 7.45 a.m. on December 9, it must be in manageable pieces, and no household or garden refuse would be accepted.
