Bin collection increases
Special week-end Christchurch City Council rubbish < collections in the suburbs 1 will be run again from Feb- i ruary 17 to April 22. During the present spring I round, there has been a 60 , per cent increase in the I number of bins taken from ] sites at Centennial Park. , Mathers Road and the comer of Barrington Street and * Jerrold Street.
That may have been caused by closing of the Paparua County Council Up. Over all the suburbs, there has been an average 36 per cent rise, in the number of bins taken away. Councillors have decided to continue the collections. Bins are mainly for garden refuse, and other household rubbish
