Rhema blamed for poor reception

; A number of complaints have been received recently by Post Office radio inspectors about dual radio station reception on certain frequencies in the north Crhristchurch area. Since Radio Rhema went on air on November 11, the I radio inspectors have had about 15 complaints, from Redwood to Merivale, from people who have found that when they switch on 3YA, they are unable to hear the programme for noise from another radio station. Listeners to the 3YA programme have discovered that the other radio station is radio Rhema and have blamed the new gospel radio for the mix-up. But according to the radio inspectors, the fault is not Radio Rhema’s. Neither is it caused by 3YA. The problem is caused by old or poor quality private radio receivers which have drifted out of tune, they say. The solution is far from difficult, however. The radio

inspectors advise all camplainants to have their radios serviced.
