Tour by Pakistan?
Pakistan, winner of hockey’s World Cup in Buenos Aires last March and the International Champions Trophy tournament in Lahore this month, might make a short tour of New Zealand next year, said the past president of the New Zealand Hockey Association (Mr W. M. Carr) yesterday. Mr Carr was a guest of the Pakistan Hockey Federation for the Lahore tournament. He said the Pakistan fed-
eratlon had said it was interested in touring New Zealand after an International tournament in Perth next April. It was up to the New Zealand association to make the invitation to Pakistan and to decide details of an itinerary and costs.
Mr Carr said he had also discussed with Pakistan the possibility of New Zealand playing in future Aslan Games hockey tournaments.
