The dispute at the Yaldhurst Hotel between the management and staff has been settled.
The assistant secretary of the Hotel Workers’ Union (Mr G. D. Harding) said that the management had agreed to reinstate three members of the staff whose notices of dismissal were to have taken effect from yesterday. Other staff - went on strike this week in sympathy and were to ' have picketed the premises yesterday. But both the picket and a black ban which was to have been imposed by the Canterbury Trades Council have now been withdrawn.
