Change of rider for Herodes at Pukekohe
PA. Auckland The highly promising young stayer, Herodes, which has been ridden lately by the apprentice, Peter Ralph, will have a change of jockey for tomorrow’s South Auckland Handicap at Pukekohe. The new rider will be Warwick Robinson, who some four or five years ago did a considerable amount of riding for the powerful Ray Verner stable. He is a candidate for the Pokeno Handicap Forfeith and Ijay were together at the end of 800 m in 49.45. Forfeith makes his debut in the December Juveneil No. 2 and to his credit h<_ has a barrier trial second placing at Paeroa. Double Agent and Afterglow went 1000 m in Imin 06.35, Lyn’s Trophy and Don Sheen in Imin 03.45, Kara’s Bab? in Imin 04.45, and Guest Star in Imin 09.45. Jandell’s sister, Monody, which will be ridden by Gus Clutterbuck in the Pukekawa Handicap, was never at top over 1000 m in Imin 04.65.
