‘Save water’
Cashmere and Hill-; sborough residents have been asked to conserve iwater until Saturday. On Tuesday, one of the Heathcote County Council’s! [water pumps on the Port) [Hills broke down. The pump, was working again yesterday, but reservoir levels at: Victoria Park and the Sign [of the Takahe were low, said) [the county engineer (Mr D. ; J. Mav). “We would like people in Cashmere and Hillsborough ■areas to take it easy when; using water to give the re[servoirs a chance to fill, [again,” he said.
