Antibiotics contaminated
Hundreds of litres of anti-j biotic syrup have been discarded from chemist shops and hospitals in Christchurch because bottles were contaminated. The syrup, which is used for children, is known as bactrim. Roche Products, Ltd, which markets bactrim. recalled 2700 litre-bottles of

Mr Wharton said that the) contamination of the bottle posed no danger to persons who might have used the contents. “But we took the precaution of recalling all the bottles still left, as we were not sure of the extent to which they were contaminated,” he said.
