Arrests at concert
Four persons were arrested at the David Bowie rock concert at Queen Elizabeth II Park last evening. They will appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, one charged with being drunk in a public
place, the other three with disorderly behaviour. A young man ran away from the police last evening with his handcuffs on after being arrested during an incident outside the Embassy Hotel in Manchester Street, about nine o’clock.
The man, aged 23, was receptured about an hour later. He will appear in court today charged with obstructing the police and escaping from custody. A woman, aged 38, and a youth, aged 18, were arrested and charged with obscene language after the same incident.
