Kanga’s Lad recovered

Kanga’s Lad turned in a pleasing gallop at Hastings on Tuesday, showing he has recovered well from a setback earlier this month.
Galloping on a last plough, Kanta's Lad ran 600 metres in 37.1 sec in his first fast run in almost three weeks.
Kanga’s Lad sustained a cut to a leg when contesting the Canterbury Gold Cup at Riccarton on November 8.
; Kanga’s Lad is now to be set for a metric mile race at Awapuni next month and then, possibly, the George Adams Handicap at Ellerslie. Ruahine Lass worked from the 1400-metre peg on the plough and was timed over the last 1000 in Imin 7.3 sec, the final 600 in 39.75ec She was a good second at eeliding last start and looks to have trained on well since.
The promising Full Hand cleared out from stablemate, Mr Hawkeye, after only 200 metres of their 1000-metre workout. Full Hand finished the distance in a fast Imin 4sec. the final 600 in 37.65ec.
Mr Hawkeye hung badly! all the way, being troubled! by a twisted tongue strap. Star Ruler’s 1000 metres; took Imin 4sec and Sweet' Purdie reached the end of{ 600 metres in 38sec.
