Market Researchers in South-East Asia have pledged to donate their skills and services in undertaking qualitative advertising research on the region’s social problem in 1979. A research p.oject will be carried out in each ,of the six countries covered by the Survey Research Group (S.R.G.) which operates in Malaysia. Singapore. Thailand. Indonesia. Hong Kong and the Philippines. The projects will help to develop more effective advertising for social programmes undertaken by voluntary organisations, government and international donor agencies. This research programme was announced at the 11th Asian Advertising Congress in Manila last week by the Christchurch-based chairman of the Survey Research Group (Dr Newell Grenfell).
Dr Grenfell said on his return t o Christchurch yesterday, that this research programme aims to assist the development of effective social programmes in SouthEast Asia.
