General Election
Sir, — Once again a united Right rules a divided Left. The Right is united on a single principle which is held paramount and before which all principles for the betterment of society as a whole must faker. That principle is the protection of the right to exploit and repress in the quest for personal power and possession. The Left is divided on a multitude of principles, including human rights, the environment, social and financial reform. Last Saturday 60 per cent of New Zealanders rejected the principles of exploitation and repression. Clearly' it is time that our humanitarian leaders put aside their personal preferences for salvation and co-operated with one another. In 1981 a united people’s opposition could sweep away forever the protagonists of exploitation and repression. — Yours, D. W. O. JONES. November 28, 1978.
